iOS 8.4 Beta 3 Released, Music App Receives New Interface and Tweaks
Apple has released iOS 8.4 Beta 3, giving us yet another glimpse into what we should expect from the company at the upcoming WWDC.
The Music app has received a new user interface, making it not only look livelier but also offering clues to how Apple may integrate its new streaming service into the current app. There’s a new mini-player and new playlist features included, making it easier to access iTunes Radio.
Apple is expected to unveil the much anticipated streaming service at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month. It’s a big deal since the company has mostly remained on the fence ever since music streaming gained tremendous popularity.
However, the company has remained quiet about the service, letting anonymous sources and industry leakers report their speculations and assumptions. Rumors about the service began floating the web ever since Apple purchased Beats music for a colossal $3 billion. The company still hasn’t made it clear what it plans to do with it, but it’s probably going to be re-branded and integrated into iTunes in some way.
With the launch of Apple’s new streaming service, it will make the company lock horns with the likes of Spotify and Google Play Music. However, taking into consideration the vast user-base of Apple, we all know in which direction the weights will slide.
