Android One, With Better Specs And Higher Price, Becomes Available For Turkish Buyers
Google continues expanding its program for offering competent Android devices at reasonable prices by releasing Android One for Turkey. Before becoming available in Turkey, Android One has hit several European and Asian markets.
The availability of Android One in Turkey is the result of Google’s partnership with General Mobile. Indeed, the Turkish Android One has far better features as compared to the models sold in Asian countries. But the improved features will cost buyers extra $150. That is, Google sold the Android One handsets for around $110 in India but the price for Turkish customers is $260.
The specs, that can balance the higher cost, of the Android phone include a 5-inch HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 4. A Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor and 2GB of RAM construct the powerhouse of the phones. A 13MP rear camera, which has been coupled with a 5MP front camera, define the superb image taking capabilities of the Android One smartphone.
The phone leaves no room to regret for buyers by offering LTE connectivity option as well. As per the operating system, currently running Android 5.1.1 is promised to receive updates once in every two years.
The cheaper phones, that were destined for India and other developing Asian countries, offered 480 x 854 4.5-inch display, MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 5MP main rear camera.
“Our goal with Android One is to empower more people to do great things with the internet by putting a high-quality, up-to-date smartphone into their hands,” Google said in a press release.
