Rumor: iOS 9 Release May Bring Redesign for Siri
Apple is expected to announce the release date of iOS 9 next month at WWDC 2015. Until then, different sources are piling up speculations and rumors that they believe are more than likely to end up as true.
The latest reports state that Apple could be bringing a complete redesign for Siri in iOS 9. According to 9to5Mac, the next major iPhone software update is going to bring some major changes to Apple’s voice assistant. This includes Siri’s interface, which since its release for the iPhone 4S in 2011 has rarely been touched.
It’s believed that the Apple Watch holds the key to Siri’s new look. The voice assistance on the iPhone with iOS 9 is expected to look just like that on the Apple Watch. Owners should soon be able to see their voice being represented by colorful sound waves than just a bland thin white sound line.
Previous rumors surrounding the iOS 9 release suggest that it will mostly include stability upgrades which are going to be targeted at fixing the number of bugs and issues brought by the release of iOS 7 and 8. Apple is seemingly going to be taking a break from introducing too many features in quick succession and is going to focus more on stability.
The WWDC 2015 is scheduled to kick off on June 9.
