Android Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Confirmed in Denmark
It is quite normal receiving OS updates in the rather latest mobile phones or tablets, say 2 years max. However, Samsung Denmark has confirmed that the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop will be made available for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users.
Now that is something, who would like to upgrade an old forgotten smartphone (not to forget that it was replaced by Note 3 and then Note 4). Though we are glad that Samsung is trying to make the users of the older phones happy as well.
If you are living in some region other than Denmark, then do not get your hopes too high. As this software update is not available in all areas. Samsung Denmark took it to Twitter and announced it officially that Denmark’s Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users will be receiving a software update on both GT-N7100 and GT-N7105. However, which shows up first remains unknown for now.

Samsung Gulf announced it earlier that Note 2 will not be getting the Lollipop update, so is looks like that Note 2 will be updated but not in all the regions. The exact time and date of the availability of the update is being kept under the wraps.
However, one thing that has been running in our mind is: will other regions besides Denmark be receiving the latest Android update for Note 2? Perhaps in the areas where there is a larger number of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users. But that is just an assumption on our part, other regions might not receive the update at all.
