New Large iPad Pro Expected to be Available by October 2015
Apple is expected to unveil a new iPad later this year, which is said to be a larger variant that will catch consumers by surprise.
According to Rhoda Alexander, the director of Tablet and Monitor Research at marketing research firm HIS Technology, the new iPad is going to be pushed against the 12-inch Surface Pro 3 from rival Microsoft and should be available across the globe by October.
“We expect it to be a part of the iPad refresh in October. Our sources are still indicating this is a 2015 product, slated to go into production mid-to-late third quarter,” said Alexander in a recent interview.
Being dubbed as the iPad Pro, it is cited by sources to be larger than the iPad Air, with a display measuring in at 12.9 inches that is going to run at 2560 x 1920. Boasting an A8X processor, the iPad Pro should release with 2 GB RAM, Touch ID, and a chance of USB 3.0 ports.
Elsewhere, rumors state that the tablet will be in line with the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 to offer a thin body with slim bezels.
Like with every Apple product, the iPad Pro is being said to incorporate new features, one of which is the inclusion of its own stylus.
According to Alexander, Apple is set to manufacture more than 3 million units of the new tablet this year. The rumors are definitely growing stronger, and all there is left is to wait for an official announcement.
