Google May Announce Android M, The Next Version Of Its Mobile OS, In May
Google’s official agenda for its upcoming I/O event tips that one of the important things happening at the event will be launch of the next version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android M. The aforesaid event will take place on May 28 and 29.
“Android M is bringing the power of Android to all kinds of workplaces,” was written in the first line of a post about “Android for Work Update,” one of the sessions scheduled for event. However, as soon as Google realized that it hadn’t even announced the product, so it made changes in the schedule.
Whatever name Google chooses for the next upgraded version of its operation system, it will be something sweet. That is obvious from its previous course of naming Android. The search giant likes to name its OS after different sweet confections and desserts. To illustrate, Lollipop was at sometime just an ‘L.’ And its predecessors were also named in the same fashion like KitKat, Jelly Bean and Ice Cream Sandwich.
Possibly the name of Lollipop’s successor will be confirmed during the conference. Else than unveiling the new advanced operating system, Google will come with certain other work tools for Android devices. Additionally, sessions on “interruptions” and “voice access” are part of the event agenda.
With voice access service, Google will make user’s voice-only interaction with their devices possible. Equally fascinating will be Proximity-based communication technology that is meant to ‘discovering and communicating with nearby devices.’
