Here’s How To Initiate Facebook Messenger Video Chat Over Android And iOS
Facebook has been very consistent in improving its products. And frequently it adds novice features to enrich experience of the users who prefer Facebook over other platforms. Recently, the social media site offered voice calling feature through one of its products, WhatsApp.
Now Facebook has added video calling to its already widely popular Messenger mobile app.
“Video calling will expand Messenger’s real-time communication features, enabling the more than 600 million people who use Messenger every month to reach others wherever they are, from anywhere. It’s fast, reliable and high quality,” the company noted.
Here I’ll guide you through the process of initiating a video call via Messenger. But before that, I want to explain why video calling on Facebook Messenger app can be more convenient than other services.
Firstly, you can commence a video call much faster as compared to other apps; secondly and most importantly, Messenger is ubiquitously used by majority of the Internet users. Meaning, you don’t need to download and install apps separately for the sake of face-to-face conversations.
Initiate A Video Call Using Facebook Messenger
Step 1: Open the Messenger app and click on the phone icon which is present in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 2: You will notice that along with this old phone icon, there will be a new camera icon as well. You need to tap on this icon to start a video call.
Step 3: To receive a call, you just need to tap the camera again once you have received the notification.
