This Portable Washing Machine Needs No Source Of Power But Pedaling By Your Foot
Drumi form Yirego is a washing machine which can wash 5-7 garments without the need of any kind of expensive power outlet like electricity, fuel generator or solar panel.
The 22-inches Drumi is powered up by foot pump. The machine can hold up to ten liters of water to wash up to six or seven garments in just 5 minutes.
To wash clothes in the Drumi, users need to add washable items in the Drum and mix some detergent with water before pumping the drum with pedal. After washing soiled clothes, dirty water can be drained away by activating release valve fixed on the bottom side of the machine.
Once the machine is emptied from water, it starts working as a kind of salad spinner. In other words, Drumi is a washer-cum-dryer machine.
The Drumi is even cost effective when it comes to the quantity of water and detergent it uses. Yirego reveals that Drumi uses 80% less less water and detergent as compared to regular washing machines.
Yirego has used recyclable materials for manufacturing the Drumi. In fact, 40 percent of the Drumi is comprised of recyclable materials–something which makes the machine pioneering.
The Drumi can be a blessing for adventurers who often enjoy camping in remote areas where electricity is not available and sunlight is unpredictable too. Similarly, small households can use the machine to save a lot of money for other needs.
Those who have made their mind to buy Drumi, you can pre-order for it now. But the company is currently accepting orders from Canadian and US residents only.
