Using a Galaxy Note 2? You May Not Get the Android 5.0 Lollipop
If you are using the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, I have some concerning news for you guys. According to a new report from an insider source, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may not get the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Samsung has been busy with the release of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, but at the same time the company has asked its affiliated carries to update some previous smartphones/phablets to 5.0 Lollipop.
The Lollipop update is already released for Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge. At the time of Lollipop’s announcement, it wasn’t known if it will make it to Note 2 or not. However, Nordic European regional arms of Samsung later confirmed that an Android Lollipop build for Note 2 is in development. So what happened now?
Now, this insider source says there is no such build, which is highly disappointing for Note 2 users if it turns out to be true.
While there is a possibility that the Lollipop may eventually come out for Note 2, the inside source seems pretty confident about it not in being development.
Samsung is yet to comment on the matter so we can’t say anything for sure. Samsung’s regional arms have shared false information before, that’s what gives more weight to this report.
It’s unlikely Samsung will share a comment but we are trying to reach the company for a statement. We’ll update the story as soon we hear something.
Until then, share your thoughts and views with us in the comments below.
