Sony Launches Xperia Z4, But Only For Japan
Sony has officially unveiled its Xperia Z4, but hold on: the device has initially been released only for Japan. Means, the international potential buyers have to wait for the next announcement.
No major announcement was made in Japan though. Sony just announced the launch via a blog post on its local site. When Forbes‘ Jay McGregor pursued Sony for more details regarding the launch, he was replied with very sparse information as the company said “no press release at this time.”
Now we turn to Xperia Z4 specs. The device is not much different than Z3. But Sony has tried to enrich the users experience with little changes in its design and specifications. Firstly, the device is lighter and thinner to a mild degree: 6.9mm and 144g, compared to the Z3’s 7.3mm width and 152g weight. According to sources, Z4 will feature all-metal design–something deficient in Xperia Z lineup of smartphones.
More importantly, Sony has maintained its flagship’s facet of water&dust resistance. This also renders credits to Z4 for becoming the only flagship in 2015 with these facets.
Sony Xperia Z4 carries a new Qualcomm’s 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor along with 3GB of RAM and a microSD slot.
Major up-gradation in selfie camera takes it to 5.1MP with digitally stabilised 25mm wide-angle lens. However, the rear camera is same 20.7MP as it was in Z3 and with same features.
