U.S Cellular Rolls Out Android 5.0 Update For Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge
If you are a U.S Cellular client and own a Galaxy Note 4 or Note Edge, we have great news for you. According to a new announcement, U.S Cellular has rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the aforementioned devices.
This means owners of these two devices can update to the latest Android version.
Samsung’s flagships smartphones Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are available in some regions but the duo is still to be released in others. Obviously the latest set of smartphones will carry the latest OS, but Samsung has been kind enough to ask carriers to update some of its previous flagship phablets and smartphones.
U.S Cellular has already released Android 5.0 for Samsung Galaxy S5, and now both Galaxy Note Edge and Note 4 owners can enjoy the latest build.
If you want to know how to update your device, U.S Cellular has a dedicated page that will guide you through the process.
First you will have to make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Now go to Settings and select devices and open “About Device.”
There you will see the option of “Software Update” that will bring Android Lollipop 5.0 to your phablet. The process is same for both Note 4 and Note 4 Edge.
There is also an alternative way to update your phablet that requires you to connect it with a PC via a USB cable. The entire process and more details can be found at the link given above.
