Now You Can Connect Your Instagram Profile To Tinder
The latest Tinder update lets you connect your Instagram profile to Tinder and then Tinder algorithms select the 34 latest pictures from your Instagram for your public profile. This feature won’t be implemented by default and depends on user permissions. This will let you show more about yourself and help users find better matches, says a company source.
In addition to Instagram integration, makers of the matching app have moved a step ahead by introducing the Facebook link as well. Despite the fact that it may involve privacy issues, but when users themselves are willing to extend their sharing boundaries then anything is acceptable.
But it’s not just Instagram, as a result of the newly introduced Facebook integration your Tinder profile will reflect all your ‘likes’ and relevant social activity. Information about friends would be used to show if and how many mutual friends do you have with the person of interest.
This in effect would be really helpful when you’re deciding if you want to go out with someone belonging to a specific circle you previously had a row with or something along those lines. So yeah it’s not just linkages through friends, Tinder has different algorithms running which show profiles sharing common interests with you.
Mr. Sean Rad, Tinder president is of the view that Facebook and Instagram connections will prove to be of some great use to all users: “When you’re able to assess the degrees of separation between you and an individual, it adds a lot of value in the form of context, trust and everything.”
