A New Google Dialer App is Rumored to be in the Works
If you have looked closely at the mobile market you would have noticed that while different companies fight with each other for dominance, they are still working together for a somewhat shared vision of the future.
There was a time when SMS was the only medium of messaging; but now with the collective effort of all the participants, it has been put on the back burner by apps like Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger and countless others.
Similar steps are being taken towards audio calls. With Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp at the helm again, audio calling is also offered by major services like Skype and Google Hangouts.
However, we are not there yet and calls are still made mostly via the carrier. That is where the dialer comes in; which is another aspect of the mobiles that companies are working to evolve.
Apparently, there is a new Google Dialer App in the works which is going to make it easier for the users to search for businesses and other people just like you would search for a contact number on Google’s website.
This would make it easier for users to call a person who is not in their contacts. Also, it is rumored that the said Google Dialer app is also going to integrate with the messaging service – no more details were shared on this one.
The new Google Dialer app is not the only project of this kind, Facebook is also developing a dialer app. Similarly Yahoo is working on an app that would add calling, messaging and video calling together – another shared vision of the future of communications.
