How To Downgrade To iOS 8.2 From iOS 8.3 On Your iPhone Or iPad
If you are one of those iOS users who have already upgraded to version iOS 8.3, we have a way for you to downgrade to iOS 8.2.
You must be wondering why would I write something like this? Who would want to downgrade to a previous build? Well, a lot of people would want that and here’s why.
Although iOS 8.3 comes with a lot bug fixes and improvements, it also patched some exploits which users were running on their phones. Also, iOS 8.3 is much more secure when it comes to jailbreaking, so don’t even expect for a jailbroken version of it.
However, since 8.2 is vulnerable and some exploits are already available, it is possible that we may see it jailbroken in the near future.
So those who want to use a downgraded device, follow the listed steps. Keep in mind that the process will only work until Apple is signing the iOS 8.2.
Downgrade iOS 8.3 To iOS 8.2 on Your iPhone/iPad
Step 1: The first thing you need to make sure is that you backup your data, photos and stuff to iCloud or locally to your PC before moving forward.
Keep in mind that backup made on iOS or iPhone via iOS 8.3 won’t work with 8.2. So use a PC if you can.
Step 2: Now, you must download iOS 8.2 firmware file for your device. I have posted the links below, follow the link for your respective device.
Step 3: Start iTunes and visit device’s Summary page.
Step 4: Now hold down the Option / Alt key on your Mac’s keyboard ( use the shift key if you’re using Windows) and click the Restore iPhone button.
Step 5: Now you will be asked to browse and select the iOS 8.2 file you downloaded earlier.
Step 6: Select and open said file, which should begin the downgrading to iOS 8.2 process.
