Ubuntu-Based Dell XPS 13 For Developers Is Now Available
Ubuntu has launched two new devices which are targeted at developers. One of them is the famous Dell XPS 13 laptop and the other is Dell Precision M3800 mobile workstation.
The Dell XPS 13 laptop is the most popular device among current ones. The laptop is highly praised by the critics and most of the reviews out there have termed it as the best laptop of 2015 so far. It has gotten such praise because of its great design and display.
Dell has managed to put a 13-inch display in an 11-inch laptop, producing a laptop with thinnest bezel ever. In addition to a great design, the display provides Ultrasharp QHD+ resolution of up to 5.7 million pixels.
The other developer edition device, Dell Precision M3800 mobile workstation, is a thin and light 15-inch mobile workstation. Other than decent specs, it supports 4K Ultra HD resolution and provides internal storage capacity which is double the amount of Apple’s MacBook Pro.
Dell has had a partnership with Ubuntu to provide devices for developers. These two devices are the newest edition to the lineup developer edition devices. Barton George, Director of developer programs at Dell services, states:
We are now up to the 4th generation of our Ubuntu-based Dell XPS 13 laptop, developer edition and have expanded the line to include the Dell Precision M3800 mobile workstation, developer edition. Ubuntu has been the perfect OS from the start given its popularity with developers and its cloud capabilities.
Precision M3800 is now available globally while XP3 13 is available across North America and Europe.
