I am sure that in a very short period of time Facebook will a billion strong family. That is not just another statement because nearly all of us are actively using social media platforms and Facebook comes on top of that list.
With the advent of smartphones, the social media giant found the need to launch a standalone app for the messaging service they offered through the basic website and app. This gave birth to the Facebook Messenger which is a whole new platform in itself that people use to get connected with their friends.
They went from web to mobile, separated the messenger there and now they have brought the messenger separately on the web. Yes, Facebook Messenger is now a standalone web based app!
