LG G2, On Verizon Network, Starts Receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop
Starting from today, LG has begun updating its LG G2, which is necessarily on Verizon’s network, to Android 5.0 Lollipop. So it leaves the last year’s flagship LG G3 owners still in waiting list for the latest Android update.
According to Verizon’s website, the advanced version of Android will allow devices to access all the apps and Android services on other connected screens such as Televisions, cars and other wearables.
In addition to this broaden access, this new dubbed version VS98039A will promise a bunch of other improvements including refined notification panel, Lollipop style interface, enhanced capabilities for the Unlocked/Locked screen functions, more comprehensive searchable settings, screen pinning features and inclusion of Floating Action Buttons in prime applications to assist the key actions.
Graphics design of the device has also been revamped which “not only gives simple look but also makes the interface fairly easy to use,” Verizon suggests.
With the addition of Lollipop, the G2 will only require a single swipe when you will like to see the “Notifications” and “Quick settings” simultaneously. Further, the Lollipop update will display notifications even when the screen will be locked. However, if a user has set up password, then they will have to enter it to unlock the phone before seeing notifications.
Here on its official website, Verizon Wireless has provided a detailed overview of the changes and improvements which the update has brought in to LG G2.
