Obama Doesn’t Text Or Tweet Because He Can’t Have A Smartphone With Recording Device
President Barack Obama since the very start has been in the limelight for his Blackberry usage, particularly for emails. In a very candid conversation on the ABC program Jimmy Kimmel Live show this Thursday, he admitted that he never physically tweets and doesn’t even carries a technologically fangled smartphone.
“I don’t physically tweet in general,” said the President, “there are times when I’m responding to a particular issue, there’s something we need to get out there, I personally get out so I’m interacting with young people.. On a special occasion.”
Texting is also out of option and the only use is of specially secured Blackberry for emailing. All because he’s not allowed to use a smartphone carrying a recording device.
With reference to the Hilary Clinton email controversy, Jimmy asked if he could get Secretary Clinton’s new email address, President Obama very smartly handled the wit and responded: “I can’t share it with you. I don’t think she’d want you to have it, frankly.” Hilary Clinton, the tentative candidate running for office in 2016, has dealt with a lot of criticism for using her private email account for official correspondence.
Talking about his life in general at the White House, Obama commented that it’s been very long since the last time he cooked or driven a car.
Blackberry is known for its security and this is maybe the reason why President Obama uses it, or maybe he is used to the device. Blackberry is also working with Boeing to develop self-destruct phone which features enhanced security.
