Rumor: LG G Note Could be the Next Flagship Device From LG
Samsung is among the first companies who started releasing flagship phablets alongside its high-end smartphones. Now, it seems some competition is in order as LG G Note might actually be a thing. Recently, LG CEO Cho Juno said that LG G4 won’t be the only high-end device they release this year.
The statement was made in Barcelona, during the Mobile World Conference. Since then, rumors and speculations surrounded the matter with no concrete information. Juno further said that the other device will be an even higher-end model compared to LG G4.
Now, some rumors suggest that the new device could be a G Note. Nothing is known about the device for now, not even its existence is confirmed. However, it is believed that LG G Note will not only compete with Samsung but iPhone 6 Plus is among its targets as well.
Samsung is currently the most dominant force in the phablet market but LG has some momentum behind with recent successes. The G2 and G3 did well and now all eyes are on G4. Juno also said that LG is pushing ahead to become the third biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world.
Both Samsung and Apple have occupied the top spots for years now with no third force to make them shake in their boots. Over the few years, LG has risen and gained a huge fanbase for its smartphone business. It’s only logical that the company starts to expand and penetrate different areas of the mobile business.
Competing against the mighty Samsung in the phablet market won’t be an easy task for LG. The company remain untouched both in terms of sales and quality. If LG wants success, they will have to learn from the mistake they made with LG Vu and LG G Pro series.
We will have to wait for LG to reveal this new device later this year, to know for sure if it has enough potential to challenge Samsung Notes.
