Samsung Releases Hands-on Videos to Showcase Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
If the announcement of S6 and S6 Edge wasn’t enough to excite you, Samsung has released a trio of videos that’ll make you want an S6/S6 Edge right now!
The videos explain the design, camera and hardware capabilities of the new devices. The video which focus on the design, is similar to your everyday unboxing footage. It depicts the devices’ packaging in addition to the design which has been compared with Apple iPhone by many.
You can see the amazing dual-edge display of Galaxy S6, a feature you won’t find in its competitors. There is a new feature called the Edge Lighting, which allows the user to get massage notifications in a stylish manner. Whenever a message is received on the S6 Edge, a green light will stretch across the edge of the phone in a straight line.
Moreover, another unique feature named People Edge asks the user to mark five contacts. Each of them is going to be assigned a different color, so whenever one of them contacts the user, his specific color will emerge on the edge.
Showing more of the design, it is revealed that S6 uses aluminum 6013 in the body. Also, taking a jab at Apple’s iPhone 6, the video says the phone “will not bend.”
When it comes to camera, S6 packs 16 MP rear and 5 MP front cam with an improved zoom-in and autofocus. All the camera modes from the S5, are making a comeback with some improvements.
The video also touts S6’s use of the “world’s first 14nm technology.” This allows for better performance with a much lower power consumption.
The device can handle more complex games and comes with a feature that allows the user to experience 4 hours of battery life, after charging for just 10 minutes.
