Canon EOS 5DS is Highest Resolution DSLR Ever at 50MP!
Alright so how high is the highest resolution for a DSLR? As far as full frame cameras are concerned, Canon EOS 5DS is as big as it gets with its 50.6 megapixel camera!
There are two variants of the model, the second one is 5DS R but both come packing the ability to give you the biggest images in size.
Other than this huge piece of achievement, the Canon EOS 5DS has dual Digic 6 processors, a 61 point auto focus, 1080p video, 3.2 inch 1 million dot LCD and can shoot at 5 FPS. The major difference in the two models is that 5DS will come with a a low pass filter to blur out images a little to adjust moire.
Yuichi Ishizuka, president and chief operating officer of Canon U.S.A. pushed the company’s ideology of churning out the absolute best that will allow the photographers to really achieve their vision:
“Canon is always looking to deliver the absolute best in image quality and push our technology to the limits. These cameras deliver on that pledge, providing photographers with two new incredible tools that will enable them to make the most out of every shoot.
As photography becomes more specialized and more images are captured than ever before, the burden is on the photography equipment to keep up with the demands of today’s artistic talents. These new camera models will provide many photographers with new options to deliver their vision to clients, fans, and the world.”
So, did all that make you want to buy the Canon EOS 5DS (or the 5DS R) right now? Well, you are going to have to hang in there for a while. The official release schedule states that the DSLRs will go out in the markets somewhere in June 2015.
